Paid Search (SEM) Manager / Contractor
About the Position
Eyeful Media is looking for a Search Engine Marketing Manager to manage paid search program of one or more of its clients. This person must have strong critical thinking and creative capabilities, the desire and ability to become a world class search marketer, and be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment. This person will be responsible for performing hands on management of paid search, PLA and GDN accounts to drive incremental revenue and/or leads for clients in different sectors.
Eyeful Media is a boutique digital consulting firm that works primarily with small to mid-sized clients. If you join our team, you’ll get to work with leaders who came from companies including Proflowers, Guitar Center and JCPenney.
This is a part time contract position and is perfect for someone who is a freelancer or interested in making the leap to consulting full time. We estimate that to start we’d need 40-60 hours per month of your time, however this may be flexible depending on the candidate. Since this person will be interacting with clients, you must be available during the day through the week.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Own and strategically manage a paid search (PPC) program in order to drive profitable
incremental revenue growth
Write ad copy and research keywords, develop and manage bidding/optimization strategy using various tools including Google Analytics
Design and perform tests on ad copy, landing pages and keywords to increase click-through rates, conversion rates and profit margin
Analyze and report on campaign performance, including delivering presentations to senior management
Utilize strong analytical skills to identify important data points and drive business decisions that maximize revenue and minimize cost including refining bidding strategies
Develop forecasts/projections as needed
Troubleshoot changes in performance
Keep current on the latest trends in the search marketing space
Ideal Applicant Profile
Track record of high achievement in opportunities requiring critical thinking skills and
4-10 years prior hands-on SEM experience, preferably in an in-house capacity
Ability to understand and optimize key marketing metrics (ROAS, CPO, CPC, etc.)
Enthusiastic about the search industry and willing to keep up with the latest trends
Experience with attribution modeling a plus
Experience using audiences, bid modifiers and scripts is a plus
Cross-team negotiation skills and superior communications skills
Experience using web analytics solutions and advertising software a plus
Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Advanced Excel skills
